When building monsters don’t be surprised when they become monstrous. A Brief History of Seven Killings begins just prior to Marley’s Smile Jamaica Concert in 1976. Jamaican gang members, purportedly trained and funded by the US, stormed Marley’s home on Hope Road in Kingston. They shot Marley, his wife and his manager.
